Scourage Kaldrix is one of the tougher PvE bosses in Aion 2, found at the end of the volcanic Sanctuary dungeon, Chalice of Muspel. The fight combines positioning checks, color mechanics, aerial movement, and a strict final damage check. Before heading in, players can also prepare their progression with Aion 2 Items to make sure their equipment is ready for the encounter.
How to Enter Chalice of Muspel
Chalice of Muspel is an ancient temple buried beneath the lava inside Muspel volcano. After seismic activity brings the area back to the surface, players can enter the dungeon and eventually face Kaldrix.
The original May 27, 2026 announcement listed a minimum item level of 4,500 with unlimited attempts during the available time period. However, newer dungeon information lists different requirements:

Kaldrix Boss Fight Overview
Kaldrix is less about simply dealing maximum damage and more about keeping the party organized. Everyone should know their position before the fight begins.

• Watch the tank's direction during frontal attacks.
• Stack when the mechanic requires shared damage.

One of Kaldrix's main mechanics appears around 75% and 35% HP. Colored orbs travel toward the boss through different lanes, while Kaldrix displays a colored outer shield.
The goal is to make the incoming orb color match the corresponding shield. A failed match can trigger heavy party-wide damage.
A simple way to handle the mechanic is:
1. Assign players to specific lanes before the pull.
2. Watch the color of each incoming orb.
3. Move or manipulate the orb so it matches the required shield.
4. Avoid crossing another player's lane.
5. Confirm the mechanic is completed before returning to normal DPS.
Advanced difficulty can place additional pressure on certain positions, so players should learn their own lane rather than copying another player's movement.
Lava Phase and Aerial Combat
At roughly 50% HP, the arena becomes much more dangerous as lava covers the platform. Flight becomes an important part of the encounter.
During this phase:

• Avoid drifting into another player's space.
• Follow the group's movement pattern.
There is also a bouncing-bomb sequence that requires players to pass the mechanic in an organized chain. Random movement is usually the fastest way to create unnecessary damage.

For most players, the real reward is the progression itself. Kaldrix tests gear, communication, positioning, and reaction speed, making him a useful milestone for endgame groups.
